Join our free yoga classes for adults & teens ages 14 and up on Monday evenings at 5:30-6:30 pm. 

Certified yoga instructor Krystal Morgan will walk participants through basic yoga poses and breathing techniques for overall wellness, fitness, and stress relief. No prior knowledge of yoga is needed to attend. Classes are perfect for all skill levels, also for beginners or everybody who has never tried yoga before. Before joining a class, participants are advised to check in with their health care provider to make sure that they are in good overall health to practice yoga. Basic bending, holding easy poses, kneeling, and other simple body motoric ability is necessary to attend the classes. The sessions will not address specific illnesses but target overall wellness for body and mind through yoga poses, flows, and a guided relaxation time at the end of each class. The yoga series is an introduction to yoga, beginners and intermediates are welcome, since yoga poses can be easily adjusted to different fitness levels and body types.

Participants are asked to wear comfortable clothes, bring their own yoga mats and water in a closed container or bottle. Bare feet or socks are recommended during class also. Towels or a blanket for use during the relaxation session are optional for additional cushion comfort. Attendees may arrive as early as 5:20 pm to set up for the class. Classes are geared towards anybody who seek a time-out in their busy lives, relax, and recharge through mindful movements in a warm and judgement-free environment.

Childcare is not provided during class, but attendees may bring their children, if child care arrangements can’t be made. Kids can play quietly in the library’s play corner during class. The library will be open for yoga attendees only on Monday nights.  Registration is not required, everybody is welcome to join. For questions, please contact the library at 628-4711.
