On August 5th, SEARLibrary & the Arkansas State Library hosted the Arkansas Center for the Book's program "If All Arkansas Read the Same Book" at the Monticello Branch Library.

Can you find all of the Halloween monsters? Stop in during the month of October and participate in the Halloween Hunter scavenger hunt! Kids have to find all of the Halloween monsters to solve the riddle; completed hunts can be turned in for a small prize at the Main Desk.
A new month means new Take & Make kits! Stop by the Dumas Library during operating hours and choose from 3 different kits! Kids and teens can create Halloween-inspired bookmarks, hanging upside-down bats, or spooky-silhouette luminaries.
Star City Branch Library was recently the recipient of a mini-grant from the Simmons First Foundation. Manager Simone Kirk accepted this grant to fund the upcoming Summer Reading Program at her branch.
MONTICELLO – The Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) awarded $2,660,000 in American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding to the Arkansas State Library (ASL); $2.4 million of the funds were set aside for direct aid to public libraries.
